Hip Hop Happy - In the Pink

This is a fun action song, ideal for toddlers but works just as well for babies on your lap, with you helping them to do actions.

Caterpilars wriggle		Wriggle your body and show your child how to wriggle , or wriggle baby on your lap
Hyenas like to giggle (hee hee hee)		Giggle wildly! and tickle your baby or toddler to make them laugh
Flamingoes like to stand in the pink		Stand on one leg and use one hand to make a beak, or help your toddler balance; for babies just hold your hand in front of you or them for a beak.
But we like to jump jump jump jump We like to jump what do you think?		Jump like mad! Jump your baby up an down.
But we like to….hop...		Toddlers can learn to hop, babies just bounce them up an down
But we like to….tap...		Tap your feet, or see if older toddlers can tap their heels by bending their feet up behind them to tap them, while balancing on one leg. For babies, tap the ends of their feet, or tap their feet together.
But we like to…. roll...		Roll hands over each other; for babies you can share the action by rolling one of your hands around one of theirs, or hold both their hands and roll them around each other.
But we like to….tickle...		Tickle everyone - even Granny!

When you're out and about you can make up any number of actions to suit the surroundings - in the pool you can splash, blow bubbles, leap in the air, swim, wobble like a jellyfish...in the car you can drive, beep the horn, brake, wave hello, sing...it's up to you!

Shake Rattle and Sing - Hello I'm a Mole

This is a lovely hand rhyme, and works well with a finger or glove puppet too.

Hello, I'm a mole and I live underground,		Wriggle your finger, peeping it out from underneath your other hand
I push up the earth as I tunnel around,		Push your finger up between your other fingers, one after the other
I wriggle under here and I wriggle under there,		Tickle the children
And I work through the night, Then I sleep safe and sound.		Bring your finger back underneath your other hand, to be still and asleep.
