Abigail Briggs and Anna Scantlebury originally produced a CD to back up their weekly music sessions with under-fives and carers in the North East. They now work with over 250 children a week in term-time, as well as running singing workshops in local schools. This is their latest CD. There are 44 songs, all original and all performed by the writers. The range of songs includes narratives, lap rhymes, songs about animals - and lots of jokes. The tunes are simple enough for children, but catch enough in some cases to command adult attention. The CD includes a booklet with all the words, and the singing on the disk is very clear, so this is a good way to expand the repertoire - at home or in the pre-school.
