If you’re looking for lively and fun interactive singing and music workshops for Foundation through to year 6, look no further! Piccolo Workshops have been delivered in schools and nurseries across North Tyneside for several years via North Tyneside Music Service (NTMS) and at schools in Newcastle and Northumberland on an individual basis. Resources to support the workshops are provided.

You can opt for a package which enables the school to raise funds for the school through selling Piccolo CDs to parents.

1. Piccolo Christmas Party is an enjoyable musical celebration for Christmas, aimed at Nursery and Reception children and their families. Raise funds for the school and get parents really involved!

2. Piccolo Beach party the seaside comes to school! Foundation and Key Stage One  can sing about sea creatures, rockpools, and  fun times and the beach, and invite mum and dad along too.

3. Piccolo CountDown Counting and Numbers songs galore! Foundation and Key Stage one Children will love the musical take on numeracy and can show parents what they are learning, and raise money for the school at the same time.

4. Piccolo Picnic in the Park this is an ideal musical exploration of everything outdoors for Foundation and Key Stage One. Mini-beasts, small animals, the weather – puppets, songs and games. Raise funds for the school and get parents really involved!

5.Chantez vous avec nous We have partnered with Gill Nemri of Petits Poussins to deliver an exciting French workshop at your school. Parents are invited to come and join in the fun when we will sing some songs in French and English and some children will be able to take part in our ‘Café sketch’ which teachers will be able to re-enact in class using our teacher’s notes. Raise funds for the school and get parents really involved!

6. Sing song Everything - is an interactive, lively and fun workshop for younger school children (Nursery, Reception and Year One) where Piccolo takes the children on a musical adventure, encompassing Maths, English, Science, PE, French, Playground fun/PHSCE, Rhyme, Rhythm and stories.

7. Sing a song with Clapping - is a hands on, lively learning workshop on singing/clapping games for school children from year 2 to year 4.

8. Sing a song with Everyone- is an accessible and enjoyable singing workshop for school children from year 2 to year 6. It can either be a follow on from Sing a song of Everything or stand alone. Piccolo encourages the children to sing together and introduces simple part songs, rounds and some harmonies depending on age and experience of the children. Any adults welcome to join in, staff, parents, support staff etc.
