You could win a stash of CDs, finger puppets, percussion instruments and Piccolo session vouchers if you enter our competition on page 20 of the Spring Edition of The Little Pages (North East), the essential guide for parents of babies and under fives.

Just go to page 20 and answer the 5 questions, then e-mail them to piccolocomp@gmail.com before midnight on 30th April 2012. All answers can be found somewhere on this website!

The winner will be drawn at random from all correct entries received by midnight 30.04.2012, and notified by e mail. Prizes will be posted out within 14 days, by second class post, or made available for collection.

Terms:

Only those entries with all five correct answers received by the closing date will be entered into the draw.

No other prize or cash alternative is possible.

Entrants must be over 16 years of age.

Vouchers must be used by the date stated on them (within 6 months)

Answers to competition questions will be published on this website within one month of the closing date.

No entries accepted from family members of Anna Scantlebury or Abigail Cotton, or relatives of any person who is employed to deliver Piccolo sessions.

World Book Day Storytelling competition

Please check out our entry, ably assisted by Reception class at Cullercoats primary school, a re-telling, Piccolo Style, of the Three Little Pigs. We wrote this song several years ago, but it never fails to thrill us seeing children join in so brilliantly from the off.

Ukulele workshop in a hit at Sage Uk Ltd

I arranged for Piccolo music to run a session for my team of Trainers on the recommendation of one of the team.I was absolutely blown away by how well Anna and Abi got the team engaged and involved from the start and how much the team enjoyed it. Within an hour and a half people who had never even seen a Uke were all playing something that actually resembled a song. Fantastic

Due to higher demand we are opening up the second session on Mondays at Linksill Centre North Shields to all aged children from birth to 4 years, not just babies as before. So please join us for singing fun with your little ones at either 9.30 (coffee beforehand at 9.10) or 10.20 (coffee afterwards at 11am). The second session is likely to be the younger tots so bigger children (over threes) will probably prefer the 9.30 if you can make that one.

End of term for Piccolo Now!

Back on 4th January 2012! Happy Christmas to you allfrom Abi Anna Pauline Rosie Diane and Emily! We’re celebrating with a Piccolo team night out next week.

Thanks to all the families who come and sing with Piccolo, we hope you have lovely holidays and lots of renditions of Jingle bells too!

From January we are not running in Gosforth on a Tuesday- Pauline has a new job on that day and we are trying to sort out new sessions, either in Gosforth or Fenham area from February, all being well. E mail us your thoughts!

We’re running sessions Monday to Thursday week commencing 12th Dec so please join us for last Piccolos in 2011. We’re off for two weeks and back on Wednesday January 4th. Please note that Gosforth sessions at the Playstation will NOT run from January, Pauline has a different job now on Tuesdays BUT we hope to orgnanise Piccolo in Gosforth or Fenham from February, so keep an eye on our website or Facebook page/Twitter.

Christmas Party Times and details

Parties on Sunday 11th are at St Teresa’s Church hall Heaton, Baby one doors open 1pm and starts 1.15. Toddler one doors open 2.45 starts 3pm. Please feel free to dress up – adults and /or children and babies!

Anyone wanting to strum a ukulele or play along with any other instrument in the instrument songs part of the sessions, (Jingle Bells, White Christmas etc) please feel free- the more the merrier!

Refreshements will be served after each party, chocs,pies, coffee etc!
