Thanks very much, Anna and Abi.
Yes, I've had very good feedback - I'm sorry I couldn't be there
myself - I had to attend a meeting which I'm sure wasn't as
enjoyable as your morning seems to have been!...
And no doubt we'll also be booking you again for sessions with
children.Many thanks again.

I have never seen training put into practice so immediately
than after your workshop (Musical Play for Under Ones) which
three of our staff attended. They were all singing and using
the things they'd learned that afternoon, when they got back
to work, and they love the songs on the CD. It was great to
see. Rebecca Snedden, Manager Ladybird Nursery, Newcastle.

Our Wriggle and Giggle sessions are going great they have
been going for over a year in each of the three centres and
it has become so popular in two of them we have had to split
the sessions to fit all the people in! Claire Witt, Development

The workshops focussed on all areas of group singing,
such as action songs and getting the children to think about
rhythm as well as the music. We requested a session on the
use of instruments, something I lacked imagination for and
that session was probably my favourite. Piccolo gave us so
many pointers that I had loads of new ideas from them and
loads of my own. At our next toddler session I was able to
implement the basic structure of a session that Abi and Anna
had shown us, and immediately the session was much more enjoyable,
the mums noticed the difference and commented on it. The application
of all this information into our toddler group was easily
done. It was all practical information and changed the way
I viewed the whole thing. I have been able to adapt a session
to suit the children present, in the appropriate way and in
the appropriate place, thanks to the Piccolo workshops. I
have started to use puppets and new songs. I have been able
to adjust the actions for songs to suit small babies right
up to boisterous three year olds, and all in all I really
feel that the children are getting so much more out of it...
Groups like Piccolo use these sessions to impact on our children
in a very positive way, long after they have been to visit.

I had to thank you for a lovely music session on Saturday
the 27th November, I was at the Childminders' Conference workshop
and enjoyed it very much. I might add I bought CDs which we
played on the way back from the Conference. Just imagine the
scene four ladies and one man, all childminders, dressed in
pink tee-shirts and singing your songs. Some of us did the actions
- we let the driver off though. We are used to singing in the
car with children but not all adults, so we did get some funny
looks. Could you keep us informed of any more CDs which you
may bring out? Delegate at the National Childminders' Annual

Thank you for the fun and exciting afternoon of musical
activities that was greatly enjoyed by both the children in
Year 1 and the members of staff too! The sessions were very
well thought out, pacy and linked well to topics that the children
find interesting, such as dinosaurs, and traditional story telling.

I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your workshop
at the NCMA AGM in Scarborough. It was a really informative
workshop which gave me lots of ideas to take back and use with
the children I care for, but most of all it was great fun. Unfortunately,
being based in Bolton, Lancashire, I am too far away to attend
any of your weekly sessions but am going to make great use of
your CDs during my singing and music sessions with my minded
children. Thanks for a great workshop. Delegate at the National
Childminders' Annual Conference 2004 |

Made you think about nursery rhymes in a different way!

Just had to drop you a line to say how brilliant my friends
and I found your workshop on Saturday. It was really entertaining
and informative. We were singing the songs on the way back from
the book worm ball at around midnight on Saturday and kept the
mini bus entertained for our 7 hour drive home showing them
what we had learnt - passing cars must have thought we were
mad, 17 childminders all doing actions and singing whilst zooming
along (well, crawling in our clapped out minibus with a leaking
roof!) the motorway. We will certainly be doing some of the
songs with the children at our drop in on Tuesday. Thanks again
for a very entertaining afternoon. Delegate at the National
Childminders' Annual Conference 2004 |

I have enjoyed the training day and have used it lots in
my parent and toddler groups. The songs are easy to learn and
have brought lots of fun to the group. Children's communication

It was great to see all of the children so involved. Our
Downes Syndrome child found it a positive experience and responded
well to the action songs. Our SKITT student found it very beneficial
- training sessions for teacher-training students would be great.
